The group has won numerous awards, including 13 Grammy Awards and sold over 30 million albums worldwide. Their most successful album, "Wide Open Spaces," was released in 1998 and has been certified 12 times platinum in the United States. The Dixie Chicks are known for their outspoken political views and activism, particularly in relation to the Iraq War in 2003. Despite facing controversy and backlash for their comments, the Dixie Chicks have continued to produce music and tour, solidifying their status as one of the most successful country music acts of all time.
