DMX, whose real name was Earl Simmons, was an American rapper and actor born on December 18, 1970, in Mount Vernon, New York. He rose to fame in the late 1990s with his debut album "It's Dark and Hell Is Hot," which was both a critical and commercial success. Known for his aggressive delivery and raw lyrics, DMX became one of the best-selling hip-hop artists of his time, with hits like "Ruff Ryders' Anthem" and "Party Up (Up in Here)."


In addition to his music career, DMX also pursued acting, appearing in films such as "Belly" and "Romeo Must Die." Throughout his life, DMX struggled with substance abuse and legal issues, which impacted his career and personal life. He tragically passed away on April 9, 2021, at the age of 50 after suffering a heart attack that was reportedly triggered by a drug overdose.
