Doctor Dre & Ed Lover are a duo of hip-hop radio personalities and television hosts. Doctor Dre, born Andre Brown, and Ed Lover, born James Roberts, gained fame in the late 1980s and 1990s for their work on the New York City radio station Hot 97. They are best known for their morning show "The Morning Show with Doctor Dre & Ed Lover" which was popular for their humor, interviews with celebrities, and playing the latest hip-hop music.
In addition to their radio show, Doctor Dre & Ed Lover also hosted the popular MTV show "Yo! MTV Raps" from 1989 to 1995. The show was instrumental in introducing hip-hop music to a mainstream audience and helped launch the careers of many rap artists.
