Donald Jenkins & The Delighters were an American R&B and soul group from Chicago, Illinois. They were active in the 1960s and were signed to the independent record label, Cortland Records. The group consisted of lead singer Donald Jenkins, along with members Eugene Ross, George McLellan, and Fred Haywood.
One of their most well-known songs is "Adios My Desert Love," which was released in 1962 and became a regional hit in the Midwest. The group's music combined elements of doo-wop, R&B, and soul, and they were known for their tight harmonies and energetic live performances. Donald Jenkins & The Delighters are considered to be an important part of the Chicago soul music scene of the 1960s, although they did not achieve the same level of mainstream success as some of their contemporaries.
