Donna Fargo is an American country music singer and songwriter. She was born on November 10, 1945, in Mount Airy, North Carolina. Fargo achieved great success in the 1970s with a string of hit songs, including "The Happiest Girl in the Whole USA," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart in 1972. She also won a Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance for the same song in 1973.
Fargo continued to release music throughout the 1970s and 1980s, with several more chart-topping hits such as "Funny Face" and "Superman." In addition to her music career, Fargo is also a talented painter and has had her artwork featured in galleries across the United States. She was inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame in 2010, recognizing her contributions to the country music genre.
