She gained prominence during the disco era of the late 1970s and became known as the "Queen of Disco." Summer's music blended various genres including disco, pop, R&B, and rock, leading to her international success. She is best known for hits like "Hot Stuff," "Last Dance," and "Bad Girls." Summer won five Grammy Awards throughout her career and achieved 32 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.


Apart from her musical career, Donna Summer also ventured into acting, appearing in films such as "Thank God It's Friday" and "Disco Godfather." She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013. Summer passed away on May 17, 2012, leaving behind a lasting legacy as one of the most successful and influential artists in the history of disco music.
