Donna Summer, born LaDonna Adrian Gaines on December 31, 1948, was an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She is often referred to as the "Queen of Disco" due to her prominence during the disco era of the 1970s. Summer gained international fame with hits like "Love to Love You Baby," "Hot Stuff," and "Last Dance." She won multiple Grammy Awards throughout her career and was the first artist to have three consecutive double albums reach number one on the Billboard chart.


Apart from her success in the music industry, Donna Summer also ventured into acting, appearing in films such as "Thank God It's Friday" and "Disco Godfather." She continued to release music and perform live shows until her untimely death in 2012. Donna Summer's legacy as a pioneer of disco music and her powerful vocal range continue to influence artists across various genres to this day.
