Donnie Iris is an American rock musician known for his work in the genre of pop-rock and new wave. He was born on February 28, 1943, in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Iris first gained fame as the lead singer of the band, The Jaggerz, before launching a successful solo career in the late 1970s.
One of his most popular songs, "Ah! Leah!", was released in 1980 and became a top 40 hit in the United States. Donnie Iris continued to release music throughout the 1980s and 1990s, with several of his songs charting on the Billboard Hot 100.
