Donnie Iris is an American rock musician known for his solo career as well as his time as the lead singer of the band The Jaggerz. He was born on February 28, 1943 in Pennsylvania. Iris achieved commercial success in the early 1980s with his solo career, especially with the release of his hit song "Ah! Leah!" in 1980, which reached the top 30 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Throughout his career, Donnie Iris has released several albums both as a solo artist and with his band The Cruisers. Some of his other well-known songs include "Love Is Like a Rock," "My Girl," and "Do You Compute." Iris continues to perform live and has a dedicated fan base, particularly in the Pittsburgh area where he is considered a local legend.
