Dorsey Burnette was an American rockabilly singer, songwriter, and musician. He was born on December 28, 1932, in Memphis, Tennessee, and passed away on August 19, 1979. Burnette was a member of the legendary rock and roll trio The Rock and Roll Trio, along with his younger brother Johnny Burnette and friend Paul Burlison. The trio is known for their influential contributions to the rockabilly genre in the 1950s.


In addition to his work with The Rock and Roll Trio, Dorsey Burnette also had a successful solo career, releasing several singles and albums throughout the 1960s and 1970s. Some of his notable songs include "Tall Oak Tree" and "Hey Little One." Burnette was known for his distinctive voice and energetic performances, and he made significant contributions to the development of rockabilly music during his career.
