Dorsey Burnette was an American rockabilly singer and songwriter best known for his solo career and his collaboration with his younger brother, Johnny Burnette. He was born on December 28, 1932, in Memphis, Tennessee, and began his music career in the 1950s. Dorsey Burnette released several singles as a solo artist, including "Tall Oak Tree" and "Hey Little One," which achieved moderate success on the music charts.


In addition to his solo work, Dorsey Burnette also collaborated with his brother Johnny Burnette and fellow musician Paul Burlison to form the rock and roll trio known as The Rock and Roll Trio. The group released several singles, including the popular song "The Train Kept A-Rollin'." Dorsey Burnette's contributions to the rockabilly genre have left a lasting impact on the music industry, and his work continues to be celebrated by fans of early rock and roll. He passed away on August 19, 1979, leaving behind a legacy of influential music.
