Artist Bio:
The Dukays were an American doo-wop group formed in Harvey, Illinois in the late 1950s. The group consisted of Gene Chandler, Earl Edwards, Shirley Jones, Ben Broyles, and Earl Swanson. They are best known for their 1961 hit single "Nite Owl," which reached number 73 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song has since become a doo-wop classic and is considered one of the group's signature tracks.

Despite their relatively short-lived success, the Dukays left a lasting impact on the doo-wop genre with their tight harmonies and soulful sound. After the group disbanded, Gene Chandler went on to have a successful solo career as a singer and producer, achieving further success in the music industry. The Dukays' music continues to be celebrated by fans of doo-wop and rhythm and blues for its timeless appeal and influence on the genre.
