The Dukays were an American doo-wop group formed in Harvey, Illinois in the late 1950s. The group consisted of Gene Chandler, Earl Edwards, Shirley Jones, Ben Broyles, and Earl Swanson. The song has since become a doo-wop classic and is considered one of the group's signature tracks.
