Artist Bio:
Dyke And The Blazers was an American funk band led by Arlester "Dyke" Christian. The group was formed in Phoenix, Arizona in the mid-1960s and was known for their high-energy performances and soulful sound. They were one of the first bands to combine R&B, soul, and funk, paving the way for the development of the genre.

Their most famous song, "Funky Broadway," was a hit in 1967 and is considered a classic of the funk genre. Dyke And The Blazers were known for their tight, groovy rhythms and Christian's powerful vocals. Tragically, Dyke Christian was killed in a street robbery in 1971, bringing an end to the band's career. Despite their relatively short time in the spotlight, Dyke And The Blazers are remembered as pioneers of funk music and continue to influence musicians to this day.
