Earl-Jean McCrea, known professionally as Earl-Jean, is an American singer best known for her work as a member of the girl group, The Cookies. The Cookies were a vocal trio known for their hits such as "Chains" and "Don't Say Nothin' Bad (About My Baby)." Earl-Jean was the lead singer of the group and her soulful voice contributed to their success in the early 1960s.
After The Cookies disbanded in the mid-1960s, Earl-Jean pursued a solo career, releasing a few singles. She later transitioned to a career in education, working as a teacher and counselor. Despite her relatively short-lived music career, Earl-Jean left a lasting impact on the music industry with her distinctive voice and contributions to the girl group genre.
