Earnest Jackson, also known as Ernie Jackson, was an American soul and R&B singer who gained recognition in the 1970s. He was born on December 19, 1945, in Macon, Georgia, and began his music career as a member of the vocal group The Montclairs. Jackson later pursued a solo career and signed with the Stone and Mustang record labels.


In 1976, Earnest Jackson released his debut album titled "Love and Happiness" which featured the popular tracks "Funky Black Man" and "Hogwash." He continued to release music throughout the 1970s and early 1980s, with his music showcasing his soulful voice and energetic performances. Earnest Jackson is remembered for his contributions to the soul and R&B music scene of his era, leaving a legacy of vibrant and heartfelt music for fans to enjoy.
