Easterhouse was a British indie rock band formed in Manchester in 1982. The band's lineup consisted of Andy Perry (vocals), Ivor Perry (guitar), Gary Rostock (bass), and Neil Dalton (drums). They were known for their politically charged lyrics and energetic live performances.
Easterhouse released their debut album "Contenders" in 1986, which received critical acclaim for its passionate and socially conscious themes. The band's sound was a mix of post-punk and indie rock, with influences from bands like The Clash and The Smiths. Despite receiving positive reviews, Easterhouse struggled to achieve commercial success and eventually disbanded in 1991. Their music has since gained a cult following among fans of the indie rock genre.
