Eddie Holland is an American singer and songwriter born on October 30, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan. He is best known for his work as part of the songwriting and production team HollandΓÇôDozierΓÇôHolland, which also included his brother, Brian Holland, and Lamont Dozier. The trio was responsible for writing and producing numerous hit songs for Motown artists in the 1960s, including The Supremes, The Four Tops, and Martha and the Vandellas.


Eddie Holland also had a successful solo career as a recording artist, releasing singles such as "Jamie" and "Leaving Here." He later transitioned to focus more on songwriting and producing, contributing to the success of Motown Records during its golden era. Eddie Holland's contributions to the music industry have earned him a place in the Songwriters Hall of Fame, recognizing his talent and influence in shaping the sound of Motown and popular music.
