Artist Bio:
Eddie Kendricks was an American singer and songwriter known for his smooth and falsetto vocals. He was born on December 17, 1939, in Union Springs, Alabama, and passed away on October 5, 1992, in Birmingham, Alabama. Kendricks was a founding member of the Motown group The Temptations, where he sang lead on many of their biggest hits including "The Way You Do the Things You Do" and "Just My Imagination (Running Away with Me)." His distinctive voice helped to define the group's sound and popularity during the 1960s and 1970s.


After leaving The Temptations in 1971, Kendricks embarked on a successful solo career. He released several albums that showcased his soulful voice and musical talent, earning him a number of hits including "Keep On Truckin'" and "Boogie Down." Kendricks' contributions to soul and R&B music have left a lasting legacy, and he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Temptations in 1989.
