Eddie Money, born Edward Joseph Mahoney on March 21, 1949, was an American rock singer and songwriter. He rose to fame in the late 1970s and 1980s with a string of hit singles, including "Two Tickets to Paradise," "Take Me Home Tonight," and "Baby Hold On." Money's music style was a blend of rock, pop, and soul, and he was known for his distinctive raspy voice and energetic stage presence.


Throughout his career, Eddie Money released 11 studio albums and sold over 28 million records worldwide. He was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1987 for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance. Money's music continues to be popular on classic rock radio stations, and he maintained a devoted fan base until his passing on September 13, 2019, at the age of 70.
