Eddie Money, born as Edward Joseph Mahoney on March 21, 1949, was an American rock musician known for hits such as "Take Me Home Tonight" and "Two Tickets to Paradise." He began his music career in the 1970s and achieved commercial success in the 1980s with his distinctive raspy voice and catchy pop-rock sound. Money released eleven studio albums during his career, with his self-titled debut album in 1977 reaching Platinum status. He was also known for his energetic live performances and charismatic stage presence.


Throughout his career, Eddie Money had several chart-topping singles and music videos that received heavy rotation on MTV. Despite battling health issues in his later years, he continued to perform and release music until his passing on September 13, 2019, at the age of 70.
