Eddie Money, born Edward Joseph Mahoney on March 21, 1949, was an American rock musician known for his hits in the 1970s and 1980s. He began his music career as a police officer in New York City before moving to California to pursue his passion for music. Money achieved mainstream success with his self-titled debut album in 1977, which included the hits "Two Tickets to Paradise" and "Baby Hold On."


Throughout his career, Eddie Money released numerous albums and singles, with several of his songs reaching the top 40 on the Billboard charts. Some of his other popular songs include "Take Me Home Tonight," "I Wanna Go Back," and "Walk on Water." Eddie Money's music is characterized by his raspy voice, catchy melodies, and relatable lyrics. He continued to perform and tour until his death on September 13, 2019, leaving behind a legacy as a beloved rock artist.
