Eddie Rabbitt was an American country music singer and songwriter who achieved success in the 1970s and 1980s. He was born on November 27, 1941, in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in East Orange, New Jersey. Rabbitt began his music career as a songwriter in Nashville, writing hits for artists such as Elvis Presley and Ronnie Milsap.


He released his self-titled debut album in 1975, which included the hit single "You Get to Me." Throughout his career, Rabbitt had numerous chart-topping hits, including "I Love a Rainy Night," "Drivin' My Life Away," and "Every Which Way But Loose." He was known for blending elements of country, pop, and rock music in his songs. Rabbitt passed away on May 7, 1998, at the age of 56, due to lung cancer. Despite his untimely death, his music continues to be celebrated by country music fans around the world.
