Eddie Schwartz is a Canadian musician, songwriter, and producer known for his work in the rock and pop music genres. He gained recognition for writing the hit song "Hit Me with Your Best Shot," which was recorded by Pat Benatar and became a chart-topping success in the 1980s. Schwartz has also written songs for other popular artists, including Joe Cocker, The Doobie Brothers, and Rita Coolidge. His songwriting skills have earned him multiple Juno Awards (Canadian music awards) and ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers) Awards.


In addition to his successful songwriting career, Eddie Schwartz has released his own music as a solo artist.
