Eddy Arnold was an American country music singer, guitarist, and songwriter who was born on May 15, 1918, in Henderson, Tennessee. He was one of the pioneers of the Nashville sound, a blend of country music with pop influences. Arnold released over 100 albums during his career and had numerous hit singles, including "Make the World Go Away," "Cattle Call," and "Anytime."
Arnold was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1966 and the Grand Ole Opry in 1943. He received multiple awards throughout his career, including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005. Arnold passed away on May 8, 2008, in Nashville, Tennessee, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the country music industry.
