Eddy Arnold, born on May 15, 1918, was an American country music singer, guitarist, and songwriter. He was one of the most successful country music artists in history, with over 85 million records sold worldwide. Arnold's career spanned over seven decades, beginning in the 1940s and continuing until his retirement in the late 1990s. He was known for his smooth vocals and crossover appeal, garnering fans both in the country music scene and in the mainstream pop music world.


Arnold's musical style was a blend of country, pop, and traditional folk influences. He released numerous hit songs throughout his career, including "Cattle Call," "Make the World Go Away," and "Anytime."
