Eddy Arnold was an American country music singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He was born on May 15, 1918, in Henderson, Tennessee, and passed away on May 8, 2008, in Nashville, Tennessee. Arnold was known for his smooth voice and crossover appeal that helped him become one of the most successful country artists of all time.


During his career, Eddy Arnold released over 100 albums and charted more than 140 singles on the Billboard country charts. He had numerous hits, including "Make the World Go Away," "Cattle Call," and "Anytime." Arnold was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1966 and the Grand Ole Opry in 1943. He received multiple awards throughout his career, including Grammy Awards and induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Arnold's influence on country music continues to be felt, and he is remembered as a pioneer in the genre.
