Eddy Arnold (1918-2008) was an American country music singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He was born in Henderson, Tennessee, and began his music career in the late 1930s. Arnold was one of the most successful country music artists of the 20th century, with over 85 million records sold worldwide. He is known for hits such as "Make the World Go Away," "Cattle Call," and "Anytime."


Arnold was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1966 and the Grand Ole Opry in 1943. He was also a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame's inaugural class in 2001. Arnold's smooth voice and heartfelt delivery made him a beloved figure in the country music community and earned him a reputation as one of the genre's most influential artists.
