Edward Bear is a Canadian folk-rock singer-songwriter who rose to fame in the early 1970s. His real name is Larry Evoy, and he was born on July 20, 1946, in Toronto, Ontario. He formed the band Edward Bear in 1966 with Craig Hemming, Danny Marks, and Paul Weldon. The band's biggest hit was "Last Song," which reached number 1 on the Canadian charts and number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1972.


After the band disbanded in the late 1970s, Larry Evoy continued to pursue a solo career and released several albums. He is known for his soulful voice and introspective songwriting style. Edward Bear remains an iconic figure in Canadian music history, with their music still cherished by fans today.
