Edwyn Collins is a Scottish musician, producer, and songwriter born on August 23, 1959. He is best known as the frontman for the 1980s post-punk band Orange Juice. Collins has also had a successful solo career, releasing several albums starting from the 1990s. One of his most famous songs is "A Girl Like You" from his third solo album "Gorgeous George," which was a major hit in the UK and the US in the late 1990s.
Apart from his music career, Collins is also a record producer and has worked with various artists, including The Proclaimers, The Cribs, and The Vaselines. In addition to his musical work, Collins is also a visual artist and has exhibited his paintings and illustrations in galleries. Despite facing health challenges, including a stroke in 2005 that affected his ability to speak and move, Collins has continued to make music and perform, showcasing his resilience and passion for his art.
