Eighth Wonder was a British pop band formed in London in 1983. The group achieved mainstream success in the mid-1980s with their catchy pop tunes and lead singer Patsy Kensit's glamorous image. The band's lineup consisted of Patsy Kensit on vocals, Jamie Kensit on guitar, Geoff Beauchamp on guitar, Lawrence Lewis on bass, Jake Walters on keyboards, and Steve Grantley on drums.
Their most popular single, "I'm Not Scared," was a collaboration with the Pet Shop Boys and reached the top ten in several countries. Eighth Wonder released two studio albums, "Fearless" in 1988 and "Fearless (BRITs Edition)" in 1989. Despite their initial success, the band disbanded in 1989. Patsy Kensit went on to have a successful acting career, while some members pursued other musical projects. Eighth Wonder's music continues to be remembered and appreciated by fans of 1980s pop music.
