Artist Bio:
El Chicano is a band known for blending Latin music with rock, forming a unique sound that gained popularity in the 1970s. The band was formed in East Los Angeles in the late 1960s by lead vocalist/guitarist Mickey Lespron, and they gained a following for their fusion of rock, funk, and Latin rhythms. El Chicano is considered one of the pioneers of the Chicano rock movement, which aimed to represent the experiences and culture of Mexican-Americans through music.


El Chicano released several albums throughout the 1970s, including their self-titled debut album in 1970 and "Celebration" in 1972, which featured their most successful single, "Tell Her She's Lovely." The band's music continues to be celebrated for its energetic performance and its contribution to the Chicano rock genre.
