Elliott Yamin is an American singer and songwriter who rose to fame as the third runner-up on the fifth season of the reality TV show "American Idol" in 2006. Born on July 20, 1978, in Los Angeles, California, Yamin gained popularity for his soulful voice and R&B style.


After his appearance on "American Idol," Yamin released his self-titled debut album in 2007, which debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 chart. The album was certified gold and included the hit single "Wait for You." Yamin has since released several more albums, including "Fight for Love" in 2009 and "Let's Get to What's Real" in 2018.
