Elvin Bishop is an American blues and rock music singer, guitarist, and songwriter. He was born on October 21, 1942, in Glendale, California. Bishop is best known for his solo career, as well as for being a founding member of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band. He has released numerous albums throughout his career, showcasing his distinctive blend of blues, rock, and country influences. One of his most famous songs is "Fooled Around and Fell in Love," which reached the top five on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1976.
Bishop is also known for his energetic live performances and his skillful slide guitar playing. He has been nominated for multiple Grammy Awards and has received critical acclaim for his work.
