Artist Bio:
Emerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP) were a British progressive rock band formed in 1970. The band consisted of keyboardist Keith Emerson, vocalist and guitarist Greg Lake, and drummer Carl Palmer. ELP were known for their complex musical arrangements, virtuosic musicianship, and elaborate live performances, which often included innovative stage setups and use of classical music elements in their compositions.

The band released a series of successful albums in the 1970s, including "Tarkus" and "Brain Salad Surgery," which showcased their unique blend of rock, classical, and jazz influences. ELP disbanded in 1979, but reunited periodically for live performances and new recordings before officially disbanding in 1998. Despite their relatively short tenure as a band, Emerson, Lake & Palmer left a lasting impact on the progressive rock genre and are considered one of the most influential and critically acclaimed groups in the history of rock music.
