Emitt Rhodes was an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and recording engineer. He was born on February 25, 1950, in Decatur, Illinois, and passed away on July 19, 2020. Rhodes is best known for his work as a solo artist in the early 1970s, during which he released four critically acclaimed albums. His music was often compared to that of The Beatles due to his melodic pop sound and intricate harmonies.


Rhodes began his music career as a member of the band The Merry-Go-Round before going solo.
