Clapton first gained fame as a member of the Yardbirds and then went on to join the supergroup Cream. He is also known for his solo career, producing hit songs like "Layla" and "Tears in Heaven."
Clapton has won numerous awards throughout his career, including 18 Grammy Awards and the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.
