Artist Bio:
Eruption was a British band formed in 1974, known for their disco and soul music. They gained international fame with their cover of the song "I Can't Stand the Rain" originally by Ann Peebles. The band's version was released in 1978 and became a major hit, reaching the top of the charts in several countries, including the UK, Germany, and the Netherlands. Eruption's lead singer at the time, Precious Wilson, contributed to the success of the band with her powerful vocals.
Despite their initial success, Eruption faced challenges with lineup changes and struggled to replicate the success of their hit single. The band released several albums throughout the late 1970s and early 1980s before disbanding in the mid-1980s. Eruption's cover of "I Can't Stand the Rain" remains their most iconic track and continues to be a popular disco anthem.
