Jones is best known for her rendition of the song "Don't Go to Strangers," which became a hit in 1960 and remains one of her signature songs. She collaborated with prominent jazz musicians such as saxophonist Houston Person and pianist Cedar Walton. Etta Jones received critical acclaim for her vocal abilities and was often praised for her ability to convey deep emotions through her singing.
