Eve Jihan Jeffers Cooper, known professionally as Eve, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and actress. She was born on November 10, 1978, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Eve first gained fame in the late 1990s as a member of the Ruff Ryders hip-hop collective and released her debut album, "Let There Be Eve...Ruff Ryders' First Lady," in 1999. The album was a commercial success and received critical acclaim, earning her a Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for the song "Let Me Blow Ya Mind" with Gwen Stefani.


Throughout her career, Eve has released four studio albums, collaborated with various artists, and ventured into acting. She has appeared in films such as "Barbershop," "Barbershop 2: Back in Business," and "xXx." Eve is also known for her philanthropic work, supporting organizations that focus on at-risk youth, domestic violence, and HIV/AIDS awareness.
