Extreme is an American rock band formed in 1985 in Boston, Massachusetts. The band consists of members Gary Cherone on lead vocals, Nuno Bettencourt on guitar, Pat Badger on bass, and Kevin Figueiredo on drums. They are known for their blend of hard rock and funk influences, as well as their intricate musicianship and vocal harmonies.


Extreme gained mainstream popularity in the late 1980s and early 1990s with hits like "More Than Words" and "Hole Hearted" from their second album, "Pornograffitti." The band's music often features complex guitar work by Bettencourt, powerful vocals by Cherone, and a mix of rock, funk, and pop elements.
