Eydie Gorme was an American singer who was born on August 16, 1928, in The Bronx, New York City. She began her music career in the 1950s, where she performed as a solo artist and also as a part of a duo with her husband, Steve Lawrence. Gorme was known for her versatile vocal abilities, spanning genres such as pop, jazz, and Latin music.


Throughout her career, Eydie Gorme released numerous albums and singles, with some of her most popular songs including "Blame It on the Bossa Nova" and "Amor." She received a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 1967 for her recording of the song "If He Walked into My Life." Gorme continued to perform and record music well into the 2000s before her passing on August 10, 2013, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Eydie Gorme's talent and contribution to music have left a lasting legacy in the entertainment industry.
