Eydie Gorme was an American singer who rose to fame in the 1950s and 1960s as a solo artist and as part of the duo Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme. She was born on August 16, 1928, in The Bronx, New York City, and passed away on August 10, 2013, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Gorme's musical career spanned over six decades, during which she released numerous albums and singles, earning her a Grammy Award in 1967 for Best Contemporary Vocal Performance.


Gorme was known for her versatile vocal range and her ability to sing in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, and Portuguese. She was particularly popular for her Latin music recordings, such as the hit song "Blame It on the Bossa Nova."
