Evans began her music career in the early 1990s as a backing vocalist for Al B. Sure! and Christopher Williams before signing with Bad Boy Records in 1994. She released her debut album, "Faith," in 1995, which spawned the hit singles "You Used to Love Me" and "Soon as I Get Home."


Evans is known for her soulful voice and R&B sound, and she has released several successful albums throughout her career, including "Keep the Faith" and "The First Lady." She has also collaborated with other artists such as Puff Daddy, Jay-Z, and Missy Elliott.
