Faith Evans is an American singer, songwriter, and producer who rose to fame in the 1990s as one of the leading voices in the R&B and soul music genres. Born on June 10, 1973, in Florida, Evans started her music career as a backing vocalist for artists like Al B. Sure! and Christopher Williams. She gained widespread recognition with her debut album, "Faith," released in 1995, which featured the hit singles "You Used to Love Me" and "Soon as I Get Home."


In addition to her successful solo career, Faith Evans is also known for her collaborations with other artists, most notably her work with the late rapper The Notorious B.I.G., to whom she was married. She has released a total of eight studio albums and has won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for her collaboration on the song "I'll Be Missing You."
