Artist Bio:
Fanny was an American rock band formed in 1970. They were one of the first all-female rock bands to garner attention in the male-dominated rock music industry. The band was composed of Nickey Barclay on keyboards, Alice de Buhr on drums, June Millington on guitar, and Jean Millington on bass. Fanny released five studio albums between 1970 and 1974, with their self-titled debut album being their most successful, reaching number 27 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Fanny was known for their bluesy rock sound and their skilled musicianship. They toured extensively and gained a following for their energetic live performances. Despite facing challenges and discrimination as an all-female band in a male-dominated industry, Fanny made a significant impact on the rock music scene and paved the way for future female musicians.
