Domino was one of the first African-American artists to gain popularity with a white audience and was a major influence on early rock and roll musicians. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986 and received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1987. Fats Domino passed away on October 24, 2017, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the world of music.
