Fats Domino, born Antoine Domino Jr. on February 26, 1928, was an American pianist and singer-songwriter who was a pioneer of rock and roll music. He gained widespread popularity in the 1950s with hits such as "Ain't That a Shame" and "Blueberry Hill." Domino was known for his distinctive voice and piano playing style, which combined elements of R&B, boogie-woogie, and blues. He was one of the best-selling musicians of the 1950s and one of the first African-American artists to gain widespread crossover appeal.


Domino was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986 and received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1987. He continued to perform and record music throughout his career, influencing countless musicians with his unique sound. Fats Domino passed away on October 24, 2017, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the world of music.
