Fats Domino was an American pianist and singer-songwriter who was born on February 26, 1928, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is considered one of the pioneers of rock and roll music and was known for his unique boogie-woogie piano playing style and smooth, soulful voice. Domino gained fame in the 1950s with hits such as "Ain't That a Shame," "Blueberry Hill," and "I'm Walkin'."


Throughout his career, Fats Domino had over 35 records in the U.S. Billboard Top 40, making him one of the best-selling artists of all time. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986 and received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1987. Fats Domino's influence on the development of rock and roll music is widely recognized, and his music continues to be celebrated for its infectious rhythm and joyful spirit. He passed away on October 24, 2017, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the world of music.
