Feargal Sharkey is a Northern Irish singer, best known as the lead vocalist of the punk band The Undertones. Born on August 13, 1958, in Derry, Northern Ireland, Sharkey's distinctive voice and energetic stage presence helped The Undertones achieve success in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The band's most famous song, "Teenage Kicks," is considered a punk rock classic.


After The Undertones disbanded in 1983, Feargal Sharkey pursued a solo career, releasing several albums and achieving success with hits like "A Good Heart." He also served as the head of A&R for the record label Polydor, where he signed successful acts such as The Cranberries. Sharkey is known for his advocacy work in the music industry, particularly in areas such as artist rights and intellectual property.
