Ferrante & Teicher were a famous American piano duo who gained popularity in the mid-20th century. Arthur Ferrante (1921ΓÇô2009) and Louis Teicher (1924ΓÇô2008) met while studying at the Juilliard School of Music in New York City. They began performing together in 1947 and became known for their unique dual-piano arrangements of popular classical and contemporary music.
The duo released over 150 albums during their career, which spanned several decades. They were best known for their lush, orchestrated arrangements and innovative performances, which helped bring classical music to a wider audience. Ferrante & Teicher also scored several film soundtracks, including the 1960s hit "Exodus." They were inducted into the Hit Parade Hall of Fame in 2009.
